We've been in the studio again ... Cordelia in Leicester is a lovely 'old-school' studio run by one of the world's nicest fellas. We recommend it highly! Anyway, the Alberteen album is nearly done - just some mixing to do this week end. My talented niece in Australia is working on the cover art and then we've got to find a good (i.e. cheap)CD producer. Oh, and then there's the MCPS ... watch this space! Just logged after a couple of days of inactivity. Thanks to all you established D-Music members for those very warm and thoughtful comments ... more to follow!

Alberteen is a four-piece band with members based in Leicester, London and Nottingham. We listen to a lot of music, everything from alt country and punk/pop to the more esoteric ends of the alternative spectrum. Most importantly we love writing and playing our own songs. What do we sound like? You tell us ... comparisons have been made with such bands as the Monochrome Set, Calexico, Tindersticks, Orange Juice. Mostly flattering but none of it makes much sense to us living, as we do, in our own little world.

An album of our music is nearly finished - ready, we hope, for Christmas - and we have forthcoming shows planned for the new year in Leicester, London and other towns with ring roads, by-passes and out of town shopping centres.

Don't be taken in by our world-weary demeanour. We love life, we really do.
